With the digital camera age, it’s easier than ever to take TONS of photos, so when I scrap, I usually like to use a lot of pictures on a page. I love the way many one-photo pages look too, but I have so many memories to scrap, normally the multiple-photo page is the way I go. So, my challenge to you is:
1) Use 5 or more photos on your page. I generally find it easier to use a template when I have that many pictures, but if you don’t want to use a template, then feel free to create your own layout, just be sure to use at least 5 photos!
2) The second part of the challenge — your layout should include at least 3 elements and two or more papers. Anything else you want to add is fine too!
Don’t have a 5-photo template?? If you click on the Simply Sarah link below, you can find a few FREEBIE 5-photo templates that could be used for this challenge:
There are many other templates on the internet with 5 or more slots, you just need to surf around a bit to find ‘em. (For example, Simply Yin is another site I love, and she offers occasional freebies—scroll through her blog to find those.)
If you have questions, you can post them here or PM me.
Please post all submissions for this challenge here: DGC040. Also, please take a minute to post a link on this thread so we won’t miss seeing your work!
Have a great week! I look forward to seeing your layouts!
Oooo, I checked out that website at work today and can't wait to start downloading templates! LOL! And those are at least multi pic templates...I like those kind too! Thanks!

You're welcome, Terry -- FAF (freebies are fun!) I hope you do a page with one of them!
It is in my gallery, not sure why it is not showing up in this weeks challenge gallery.

I'd like to take credit for getting our own forum, Marcia, but I'm as surprised as you! Now all we need to do is get a listing on the home page for a Digi Challenge on Tuesdays. Maybe with SU coming out with their own digi program soon, SCS decided to give digi a little more recognition as the wave of the future. In any event, I'm glad!
I love your page. The scalloped red "doily" looks cool--love the angles and your photo arrangement. Thanks for playing!
P.S. By the way, your page is showing in the gallery now.

Nice page Marcia.
I was surprised when trying to find this week's challenge from the 1st page of the scrapbooking goals too! But you know, you are probably right Wendy. I forgot about the release of the new software. They will probably really push the digi now! More ideas for us to watch for. There are a lot of really good scrappers that post t SCS that only post to the galleries and not here on any of the forums.
I know I'm always asking questions, but could you lovely ladies explain how to use the templet one I'v downloaded? I thought I would just have to click and fill each section with my pictures, maybe I'm, again, doing something wrong.

IN PSE7:
1) Open the photo you want to use and place it in the layers stack immediately above the slot you wish to fill. (If there is a layer with a shadow under it, be sure the photo is over the top of those other 2 layers.)
2) Make sure the photo is selected and press Ctrl-G. That should put your photo inside the frame where you can then resize it or move it around within that frame.

Let me know if this works for you, Candy!
Thanks Wendy it worked perfect, now to make a page

Here is the page I uploaded last night. I forgot to post a link over here - maybe some of you will feel like commenting on it for me - what do you think?
Candy, I had Marcia teach me how to use the templates, so glad I'm not the only novice in that area. Isn't it great to have such willing friends here to help us?!
This particular template has me fascinated. My Favorites by AnniePanda at Splitcoaststampers

This is really great looking...now you just need to go back in and fix your word favorites...If you are like me, it'll be a challenge! LOL!
Hi gals, just finished visiting with Joyce. We have had a lot of fun with instant messages and actually "chatting" with each other using Windows Live Messenger. We both learn this way. We thought it would be fun if all of us that participate here in the digi challenges could somehow get together sometime for a group "chat". I know there is a program called Goober that allows more than two people at a time to chat. Would anybody be interested in doing that? Something maybe we could plan for a lazy Sunday afternoon say. Of course who has those, lol. Something to think on. Hope everyone has had a nice day. Sure do enjoy these digi challenges. Have new pics of DGD at Omaha zoo to scrap!
This one covers several challenges including the weekly challenge Tam gave and Wende's digi challenge. I did find out that I apparently do NOT have enough RAM in my machine to do digi scrapping. I tried to use some papers from other designers and every time I tried to open them, PSE7 would shut down...good thing I'm now saving my work EVERY time I add or make a change! LOL! I ended up using only what would NOT shut the program off!
Super layout Terry. I found that I have to be real careful what I have open when I use PSE, it does use a lot of memory. After I have decided what papers, etc. I am going to use before I even start to put the layout together I shut down the puter to clear all the memory. When I restart I just open PSE. Helps with memory problems.

The last time I upgraded to a new computer, my son put it together for me and made sure I could accommodate my addiction with lots of memory! So far, I haven't had any problems, but I remember lots of shut-downs with prior computers!
Marcia, I think that's a fun idea too--the chat. How would we go about getting the same program?
Hi Wendy, and for anyone else who is interested. The program can be found at goober.com. Look it over and there is a little video about it on the site. I used it some last year with another friend. We liked it because you could exchange screen shots with it, that way when trying to help each other we could just "send" what we were doing to each other. It was very helpful. They have re-done the program so that now it allows multiple people to "chat". Let me know what you gals think of it.

Thanks, Marcia. I'll definitely check it out, but I won't be able to download if for a bit--my son will be taking my computer this evening to reformat my hard drive and I'll be without it for a couple of days (It's nice when your have an IT specialist for a son, but he doesn't always have the time!!) Then when I get it back, it's the fun game or re-adding all the programs, so I probably won't be fully functional for a week or so. I'll have minimal access using my DHD's computer and at work, but not for downloading and stuff. But I'm definitely interested eventually!
