A big thanks to Lori for Guest Hosting last weekend while I went on a rubber stamp store road trip ... what a fun time.
For me, aprons hold great memories. I remember my Grandma always wearing an apron when she cooked, and as I got older, she let me wear one too as I stood beside her in the kitchen helping prepare the meals. An apron was also the first thing I ever sewed for myself.
I still love aprons, and this week’s inspiration site Heavenly Hostess has an awesome collection featuring all sorts of styles and colors. They also have potholders, kitchen towels, and headbands to inspire you.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many choices, I have uploaded three of my favorites … so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration. For the rest of you, remember to link us up to the item from Heavenly Hostess that inspired you.
Use the keyword: IC191 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.

Great inspiration site! I love aprons and also have some great memories of my grammy, my mom and my MIL and all of their many aprons. Can't play until tomorrow night but this one I will enjoy doing! Thanks Stef.

This one has my name written ALLLL over it! I *may* have a *sizeable* collection of aprons (over 100 vintage ones plus about 30 new ones...LOL!) I'm an apron addict!
BUT, I gotta go to bed now and will play tomorrow afternoon when I'm off work.

Oh Stef! I have fond memories of my grandma wearing her aprons too! And I have several of hers now! I miss her so much! I will be trying this inspiration hopefully tonight!
I had to do a second card -- there were so many wonderful inspirations on the Heavenly Hostess website. This time I used the Gerbera potholder as the starting point of my Flourished Gerbera Daisies birthday card.
This was fun!! I was even inspired by all the lovely fabric creations to stamp on fabric for the background of my card . Thanks for introducing us to this lovely website! Here's my card:
