Yep, you read that right! Today's combo is more than just a color challenge....it's a one-layer card as well! I thought it would be fun to change it up and do something different. I know these challenges are pretty common - the one layer card - but it's always breathtaking to see what people can do when limited to one layer.
And plus, I had this card made already and since I was totally antsy about my SISTER coming today - well, I just couldn't do anything all day! My nieces are happily asleep at my house and I am loving it! If you have no idea what I am talking about - They have been in China for the past two years and are home for awhile this summer. Anyway, I am going to be enjoying that.
Now, with them being here and my husband gearing up for a year-long deployment to Iraq....I've got a lot on my plate this summer. So I've decided to take Betty's suggestion to heart and take a Leave of Absence for the summer. I will be scheduling the next two months of guest hostesses and if you would like to do a week of posting the CC, just drop me a pm and let me know what date works for you. I will do my best to get this lined up and planned out for the summer by the end of the week. Thanks for your help!
now the CC....
CC222:
WHITE
(you may use another color ink, but only white cardstock)
Please put CC221in your keywords section (and if you have more than one challenge use a comma to separate them) so we can find your card! If you need help uploading click here!
As always, I am open to suggestions for future color challenges! Please pm me if you have one. DO NOT SEND ME AN EMAIL!! If you do not include a sample, it is harder for me to use it! I will probably not respond, as I get several, but I save them for future reference!
Good for you, Emily! You deserve a break! Enjoy time with your family, but still stop by and play now, ya hear?! (I thought that sounded like something you might say in Texas, hee!)
Now white, eeeeek! I'll try not to drop an ink pad on my finished project!!!!
I must do this challenge. My granddaughter graduates today and the school colors are blue and white, so one more graduation card seems to be in order. Thanks for the challenge and have a great summer Emily!
I haven't made a one layer card since I first started stamping. All white? NEVER! This will be a challenge for me, for sure! Off to play as soon as DH gets out the door!
Okay...I made one...Poor Speedy the Cat is now hiding...I believe he thinks we've been transported to another universe! (I shouldn't have let him watch all those old Star Trek Movies yesterday....!)
of all the weeks to come and play along, LOL! I haven't done a color challenge in awhile. hmmmm, have to see what I can come up with. thanks for the challenge and have fun with your family this summer-you deserve a break!
Wow - I really got this stamped before work!! What a great challenge for a quick card - one layer - on white -does not get much more CAS then that!! Thanks Emily!! Here is my 12 minute card:
Here is my wedding card for this challenge. White just seemed perfect for a wedding card. Thanks, Emily, for the challenge that really was a challenge for me!
Edited when I realized I had wedding on the brain and it is really an anniversary card! DUH!! More coffee, please!!

Thanks Emily!! Enjoy the visit with your family! So exciting for you all to see one another again.
Enjoy the summer off!!!
If there is anything I can do to help....you know you can ask me! I'd do anything to help my DD buddy!
Thanks Emily for this quick and easy challenge. With my boys being out of school and my time is occupied with them these days, I hardly get to make cards. They are still sleeping so I made a quick one. We will miss you while you enjoy your time off.

I love the clean, white appearance and it is a challenge for me. I made this last week while playing with new toys and thought it fit this challenge perfectly. Thanks for a great challenge and have a wonderful summer with your family! Here's mine:
