A huge thank you to Anne for hosting the challenge while I took some time off to travel and visit family (and fell in love with Sedona and Flagstaff).
I have always been one who judges books by their covers. Sometimes I love the book cover more than the book itself. To honor the tradition of great Summer reads, this week the challenge is to make a card inspired by a book cover. I found a great Book Cover Archive, but feel free to use Amazon, Barnes & Noble, or any other site to link us up to the cover that inspires you.
For those of you who say you get overwhelmed with having too many choices, I have uploaded three of my favorites the Book Cover Archive website… so just stick with one (or all) of those for your inspiration.
For the rest of you, feel free to use any Book Cover for your inspiration. Just remember to link us to a picture of the Cover that inspired your creation.
Use the keyword: IC82 (no spaces or extra characters) when you upload your card, and make sure you put commas between your key words.
How to Play ~ View the attached images. You may be inspired to recreate the pieces ~ but that isn't necessary ... get your inspiration from the colors, layout, style or 'theme'. Just enjoy wherever your inspired creative journey takes you. Make the inspiration piece your own. Don't worry ~ no card is 'wrong' and there is no time limit for uploading your card for the challenge. There are no rules, so let your creative juices run wild ~ be *inspired* and go get stamping!
Don't forget about No Upload Sunday - Let's give the gallery moderators a day off and not upload on Sunday (unless, of course, you are a Fan Club member - yet another reason to spend a little money on your favorite site). Also, remember to link to your SCS gallery on this thread. Thank you for joining me on this inspiration journey.

Wonderful challenge, Stef! Had this one that I was just finishing up and it fit right in w/ a book cover I saw. I saw a lot of book covers I'd like to case, so maybe I'll be able to fit another one in later. Here's my Proud Eagle. Thanks for looking and I'll return to view and comment.
When you go to my card there is a link to my inspiration, WHICH, took me a while to find tonite!! This was fun, I really should have cleaned my stamp room - what a mess, but once again I created on top of the clutter........oh well, tomorrow is another day.....hope you like my card!! Happy Saturday everyone!!
What a fun idea, Stef. Dangerous, I love my books and have an Amazon voucher to spend from my birthday, so I can see this taking hours...and it's blue skies and sunny outside so browsing might have to wait.
What a great challenge!!! I have enjoyed looking at everyone's creations and wish I could play along with this one! I love to read, though lately I seem to only read books for teenagers in order to keep up with what is in the school's library :0). Combining reading and stamping is just perfect for me!! But alas, I have my sweet little DGD today and my stamping room is in a state of chaos due to my need to reorganize after being neglected for the college years! Keep sharing your creations, ladies! I'll be looking for them!!
We had a late night baseball game with my son's team and I was tired to play. Now this morning I have the house to myself...the boys are at work with my dh. Now, I'll go create a card in between laundry.
Thanks Stef.

What a fun challenge! I've been so happy to be able to play along with the card challenges all week, and this one is the perfect topper for a fun week.
This looks like such fun, but I have a wedding to go to. I have missed so many challenges lately because of other commitments. Darn! I guess there is something to be said for winter and being stuck indoors. I hope to at least get back later and take a look at everyone's work. Have a good weekend.

Here is my first entry for today's awesome IC challenge. Thanks Stephanie, this is sure one that is close to my heart, for I have been writing a book forever now... So I used this sweet book cover as inspiration:
It was fun to get back to stamping and joining the challenges again after my trip to sunny California. Here's my card, which sadly did not scan well. The card is much lovelier IRL.

Bookcovers! What a great place to look for inspiration. I actually used a magazine cover for my inspiration piece. I have the link in my card description.
