I learned something doing dominoes

I've been making quite a few domino pins latetly. Well, today I got the brilliant idea to use Modge Podge to seal them and make them shiny (by adding glitter). Well, don't use Modge Podge. If the domino sticks to the surface where you have them drying, it can peel right off. Luckily I only had one do that but I think I will go back to using crystal effects on my dominos.

On a related note, what do you lay your dominos on so they don't stick while the sealer is drying?

I usually lay my items on wax paper to dry. I also balance things on top of acrylic paint bottles, larger things on soup cans, etc. There is always something drying in my house!

I do a lot of dominos, I love them! :lol: I only seal the top of the domino where my art work is. I use Acrylic Spray Sealer(Matte Finish) made by Plaid. I do 3 thin coats from at least 10 inches away, it dries almost instantly although I do wait 10 minutes in between coats. It is available in most craft stores. It is the best thing I have found, no bleeding. You can also get it in a gloss finish too! A can lasts forever.
