When I saw THIS project in Julie's (a/k/a reneejul1) blog, I knew that it would be a fun project for the TLC gang. I hope you feel the same way. This project was originally named Valentine Treat Purse, but can easily be adapted for just about any occasion and made to contain just about anything from candy treats to small 3X3 gift cards.
Julie has wonderful directions for this project, which can be found HERE.
In working up my sample for this TLC, I did modify Julie's measurements for the inside. Using Julie's measurement, I felt the box top was higher than I wanted mine. I really wanted to "show off" the goods, so to speak, so I reduced the size to one that fit my needs, and I encourage you to do the same, if you want to. Rather than make cardstock handles, I chose to go with some ribbon handles, but I would love to see what you creative ladies can do with today's project.

Just in time to make a little hostess gift for my cousin's wife - I will be staying at their home overnight and they will take me to the airport to fly to FAITH'S STAMPING RETREAT IN FLORIDA. (Do you think I'm psyched????) Get ready, Faith, here I come!
I may have to try this. I have a class coming up for a homemakers group in a couple weeks and this would be fun to do with them.

Turned out to be a quick and easy project...thanks to Julie and Lynn for a great new idea! BOHEMIAN TREAT PURSE

I'm so happy I work from home on Mondays!!! I love all of the challenge but the TLC excites me a bit more than should be allowed he he he. LOOOOOOVE this cute little pkg! Changed my up a bit in the measurements.
You can either tie the handles together, or use a small piece of velcro on the front - holding it to the box on the inside. If you really wanted to get fancy you could always add a magnetic closure.

Ok, I finally got mine done. The scan is terrible though. I wanted to take a picture but the darn battery in my camera was dead! So I just scanned it.

Very cute! Perfect for a little surprise for my Grandma. She just had a stroke and I've been looking for cute little things to make her while in rehab. Thanks Lynn!
