Try to accomplish the following things this weekend, and post back here on Monday to let us know how you did:
1) Organize a stack of pictures (at least 6 inches high). How you organize them is up to you... whatever works best! Then post back here on Monday to let us know what you did and share your ideas.
2) Tackle those electronic images. Move all of your current picture files from your hard drive to you CDs. Be sure to label them for easy reference! Post back to let us know how many CDs you filled up!
3) Make ONE page. 6x6, 12x12, 8 1/2 x 11... doesn't matter. Just one! Then post back on Monday with a link to the image in your gallery. Or, if you can't get the image online, just tell us how cool it turned out!
Now... who's in? Post here if you can commit to this challenge!
OK, I'm going to give it a try. I think I can get the stack of photos. And I'll get the photos off my husband's computer. My computer quit last week before I got them off of it. :( I hope the computer can be repaired without my losing them all. And I will definately make an effort to do at least one layout.
And I subscribed to this thread so I can keep up with what's going on.
The computer one was thrown in there for that very reason. It happened to me once too. If we all make an effort to get ahead of the eightball, we shouldn't have to suffer that fate!
Who else is up for the challenge? Come on ladies! Be brave!
Organize at least one pile of stuff on your craft table or floor and deal with it once and for all?
Dh and I put together another bookcase for my craft room. He was tired of seeing boxes of stuff on the floor. Much of it is patterned paper, card fronts, ideas I've printed.
I hope to get a bunch of stuff taken care of tomorrow and then prep for my stamp camp on Sunday.
Next weekend I plan to purchase the Powersort Box from my CMC.
Thanks for these challenges!

I just finished the cutest 8.5x11 cat page (sorry I can't post a picture). Sadly no stamping on it, but I did use SU fonts, cardstock and ribbon. Took me all morning to print the photo, pick the papers and embellies, and play with the layout. But I love the final result. Now it will take me all afternoon to clean up the mess I made

And I'm still at work. I won't be able to do *anything* until tomorrow. DS #2 has hockey tonight.
Who else got started?

Great challenge idea! All my pics are on CD's! I have 23 CD's of pictures. Okay, that sounds like it must have taken me all day to accomplish, but I've been copying my pics to CD for the last year. I just made only 3 more today. I keep my photo CD's all in one CD organizer. My DH has been told repeatedly where it is kept and has specific instructions to grab it on the way out the door if the building ever catches fire. I use a black sharpie to write the month and year on each one. My pics are organized into files by month. Some months have only a few photos, others have hundreds (>600 pics of the week at the beach alone - that week got its own 2 CD's). If more than 1 month fits on a CD, I put what fits on there.
All of my printed pics are in photo albums. I just bought 2 new albums to hold the 7 photo envelopes of pictures I had laying around. Albums are organized by date as well.
Now..2 days left and I have to get a page done. I'll post when I accomplish that task. My plan is to start trying to complete these challenges. I have all of the pictures organized, but somehow, I don't seem to get them scrapped.
I want to try! I am already going to go scrap all day so I know that the picture organization will happen. Now the pictures onto CD's will be the real challenge. I also recently replaced a broken computer with one that actually will do this. I have been dragging my feet on learning how. No more excuses! Have a scraptacular weekend and I'll see you all Monday!

Wow! I'm impressed! You're level of organization is a goal to strive for. You've caused me to raise the bar of my goal of getting everything together a bit.
WOW! I want to be just like you ZZZach'smom!!!!! I am most definatly up for this challenge. I just found a stack of pictures that could use orgainzing! And my digitals are anywhere near the level of ZZZach'smom's!!
I actually have my hubby helping me with backing up our electronic photos. I have alot of pictures on his desktop machine, so he's putting those on CD's for me. Then I'll add the photos that I have on my laptop. I'm going to put them on CD by subject (bike racing, step-son, holidays, trip to see my family etc.). I guess the librrian in me arranges things by subject.

Oh this was meant for me! I have been trying to back up the computer cuz it has been having seizures for the last couple of weeks. I need to wipe out the hard drive and redo it. Uggh.
So getting these things off is a major priority! I accept the challenge! Will post back to let you know how it went....
I was able to organize a 6 inch stack of photos this weekend. I'm doing this crazy overwhelming thing for our local Habitat for Humanity, and it really out of this world amounts of backlogged photos, many without labels, chucked into shoeboxes. So I spread all out on the living room floor and sailed through them in about an hour and a half last night.
I didn't put any of my pics on CD's, but as of right now, most of my pics are backed up on websites and various servers all over the place. :-)
And then I managed to get 3 pages done for the Habitat books I'm doing. Probably shouldn't post for confidentiality reasons, but I didn't do any stamping on them anyway. (Trying to use up my other supplies, lol)
And I got one box of miscellaneous crazy scrapping clutter put up. :-)
I managed to finish one page. I am so far behind in scrapbooking for Zach. He's already 2 and I'm really just getting started on his scrapbook.
About the organization of my photos...we just moved in September. I was so afraid that our hard drive would get damaged somehow in the move that I put all my photos on CD's prior to moving. I did take over 500 pictures later in September when we went on vacation that we scheduled in February prior to finding out that we would be moving in early September, so I had a few CD's to make for this challenge. My goal is to keep the CD's up to date. If I hadn't had to move, all mine would probably be saved only on my hard drive. They have always been organized by month and year. My camera automatically uploads them that way, and I'm way too lazy to change it. So, maybe it seems like I'm really organized when I posted that I have 23 CD's of photos, but the first 20 were done out of necessity due to the move. I would probably have been way too overwhelmed by that to even tackle the challenge if it weren't already that way.
Thanks for posting this challenge! I look forward to trying to complete more challenges in the future. My goal is to catch up on Zach's scrapbook so that it covers everything from birth to current time by his 3rd birthday at the end of May. I only need to make about 50 more pages now...
