I love making treat holders and couldn't think of a better occasion than Valentine's day! My challenge for you today is to make a Valentine Treat Holder. To get you started, below are some some fun ones I've come up with as well as some links to treat holder tutorials here on SCS.
Cupid Poop Box:
This treat holder was inspired by this poem my sister received for Valentine's last year from one of her students. Not sure where he got it from, but I thought it was worth sharing. It reads as follows:
I couldn't send you flowers
And candy wouldn't do
And mushy cards just didn't
Say the things I want them to.
So I got you something special
And here's the inside scoop
I found you something very rare
It's genuine Cupid poop
**Supplies needed for this treat holder: Candy (red hearts, red M&M's, or any special Valentine candy); Cellophane bag; Sticky Strip or Double-sided Tape; Velcro; Card Stock; Any stamps or Embellishments you'd like to use.
The base for the treat holder is 3-1/4" x 11". On the 11" side score at 10", 6", 5" and 4". Now decorate as you'd like, fold along the score lines; and add the cellophane bag filled with candy to the inside of the bag with stick strip and use Velcro for closure.
Treat Box Holder:
For this next treat holder, there's a lot of scoring and some cutting. I've included a sample of what your box should look like when done. Make sure to fold on the score lines well so you have an easy time putting it together.
**Supplies needed for this treat holder: Treat of your choice; Cellophane bag; Sticky Strip or Double-sided Tape; Velcro; Card Stock; Any stamps or Embellishments you'd like to use.
You'll start with a 9-1/4" x 6-1/2" card stock.
On the 9-1/4" side score at: 1/2", 7/8", 1-1/4", 4-7/8", 5-1/4", and 5-3/8"
On the 6-1/2" side score at: 1/2", 1-3/8", 5", 5-3/8"
***Note the template is not to scale is more to show you were you should cut once you've done all your scoring. Cut the white spaces indicated on the template, decorate as you'd like and assemble it by adding one strip of sticky strip or double stick tape to the small flap (1/2") on the 9-1/2" side.

I love making treat holders - however I am on a diet and all the candy I had in the house was a few tootsie pops, I think another kind of candy would look cuter - maybe even sugar free gum and then I could give it to my swap buddy in the Battle of the Bulge swap. LOL
Here it is without treats and with what I had as far as treats: Gallery at Splitcoaststampers Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
I had a great time - this was the only challenge I really did in order. The others I did, I did in a wacky order - but it was great fun. Off to clean up my huge mess and head to bed. Thanks to everyone hosting tonight - it was a wonderful way to spend a wintery day!
I so hear you Roxie - after Valentines there's a serious no candy in the house rule! I'm off to check out your treat holders, but an alternate treat to candy could be stamping/scrapping supplies - ribbon, flowers, etc. Just a thought! Thanks for playing!
Good night Roxie and thanks for the sweet comments - we all had a great time seeing all the amazing cards and projects that came out of today's challenges!

Carolina! What a terrific video of you!
Hey girl, so I made this one last month for Unity's CHA make & take call and thought of it for your VSN challenge. I hope it's okay. I would love nothing more than to go at this challenge at the craft table but I'm needing to head back into bed now with the cold I'm trying to battle (I think it's winning right now).
My 9-yr old son helped me with my mini treat box - stamped the images, punched them out, and did the paper piercing. Then he made his own version! Those were fun and quick to make -
