About Dollar Values
  • The dollar values of the threads usually go by the manufactures retail price or catalog price.
  • Sometimes you get items on sale or with a coupon, that isn't figured in. It was decided that the manufactures retail price or catalog value was the most fair way to list prices for your items.
  • You can lower the value on your items to entice people to snag.
  • You should lower the value on your item if, for example, it is a stamp set that is missing a stamp or if the set is very well loved (ink stained).
  • Don't lower the value below the dollar value of the thread you are listing it on. For example for PIF Stamp Sets $13-$18, do not lower the value of a set to $10 unless listing it with something else.
  • If an item is not in perfect condition you should include that information in your list.
