LSC197 Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!!
I have officially switched gears from fall to winter! Brrrr!!! (Although, we had snow in October and havent seen any since!) Someone commented to me a while back that we hadnt done a follow the list type of LSC for a while, so I decided to fix that!
Heres what I had in mind:
1. The only image stamps/embossing you may use are snowflakes. Yup! Only snowflakes (or something that looks like falling snow). No snowmen, snowwomen or anything, just snowflakes! The same goes for patterned paper . . . it must be snowflakes!! (Get the idea?)
2. Your creation must be monochromatic.
3. You need to add some sort of bling or sparkle to your card. Stickles, rhinestones, shimmery paper or ribbon . . . make it sparkly!!
4. Last, but certainly not least . . . sentiments may be ONE WORD only!
Hows that for a list??
Once again, Amelia (WendybellsGirl) pitched in with a sample for us. Whatever would I do without her??
Uploading: Remember the keyword is without spaces. Use a comma between keywords with a space after each comma.
If you are new to the challenges, please feel free to do this one or ANY of the challenges at any time. There is no time limit. They are not races to see who can do one first, nor are they contests of any sort. All the challenges are simply to provide inspiration and to get us stamping!
Need help linking a card? Follow these instructions!
1. Open 2 windows: One window for your card and one for this thread.
2. In this thread, click on reply and type anything you want to show before the link.
3. Got to your card window. Highlight the address for your card. (It says www. splitcoaststampers.com/gallery/showphoto..... and so on)
4. Click EDIT. Click COPY
5. Go back to this thread. Click PASTE.
Youre done!
I stayed up late to do the challenge, but I think I must be tired. The entire time I was working with my card I kept reminding myself that I was only going to stamp the 'Greetings' part of the sentiment. But I got so busy thinking about placement I forgot and inked the whole thing. Sorry! But with the script font it looks like one word----truly!
Yikes, it's late but I just LOVED this challenge as this snowflake set is one of my faves! Here's my LET IT SNOW and it's off to bed I go!

Hmmm, all my snowflake stamps are pretty small - but I will see what I can do. Come to think of it, I did a view-master card last year that qualifies on most counts, so I've got to be able to rise to this fun challenge.
I tried to capture the layers in my photo so my irridecent ice isn't showing up so good. I stamped the image 4 times and cut out the main snowflake getting gradually smaller w/ each layer. The layered snowflake is very sparkly with dazzling diamonds as is the organdy ribbon.
Thanks for a challenge.......I haven't played in a while!!!

OH, Wendy! I totally forgot the monochromanic part - I have to go to Social Security today and have no time to do another card - please know I am OLD and, therefore, cannot follow directions!!! I put so much time in this card that I hope you will be gracious and forgive - please don't send the challenge police! I also used up my sticker snowflakes! I hereby promise to read directions better in the future and to read them TWICE!
Hmmm - no snowflake stamps - how can I improvise......
Do you have any punches, paper or embossing folders with snowflakes? What about stars that you could "jazz up" to look like snowflakes? Go crazy, girl!
Ok - so the card I uploaded last night fits this challenge almost perfectly.
Notice I said almost - mine has a 2 word sentiment instead of one.
But it's like I knew this challenge was coming, so hope you don't mind that I added it to this challenge.
I will try and do another one tonight after work, shopping, etc etc.
This is in my gallery...but obviously having a moment as I could not get it to load into the challenge gallery...it's obviously me doing something wrong!:p Gallery at Splitcoaststampers
