I love old movies and musicals. And I love big, big dance numbers. What could be a better act for our cabaret than a dance routine created by director Busby Berkeley? This over-the-top choreographer would have been right at home on the cabaret stage--a cabaret stage on steroids! Berkeley used crowds of showgirls to form elaborate geometric patterns. The attached still is from the 1934 movie Dames, but to get the full effect and to get your creative juices flowing you should watch the entire dance routine here. (The dance routine starts at 4:10.)
My challenge is simple: create a card using a geometric design as the focal image.

YAY!! What a great challenge, Kathy! Your samples are inspiring...i love the pic with the dancers. Imagine how cool that would've been to see them IRL.

Great challenge! I'm hoping to get to it after Mr. Man goes to bed.

Dabce! Dance! Dance!
These just keep getting better and BETTER! I've now watched the clip 3 TIMES!!! I had fantasies of being a Rockette when I was a little girl. (Remember them, on the Jackie Gleason Show???? Okay, so I'm dating myself LOL.)
This was tough for me, and I think I know how to improve on it, just dont have the brain to do so right now, but here goes. Plus I am finding this stamp set harder to use than I had planned. Trees Every Which Way by cla616 at Splitcoaststampers

Nope, it was the June Taylor Dancers on the Jackie Gleason show. And since I know that (being the fount of useless TV trivia), I'm dating myself!!
Here is my sparkly star 6x6 card. This only took me about 5 minutes to do since I already had the star done in my stash from last year. It took me longer to find the paper that I wanted!
