We will host a Pajama Party shoebox swap on Saturday, November 8, 2008, from 11:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m., at Ft Meade, MD. Come in your PJ’s. For those of you that do not have a military ID you are still able to come, you will just need to have a driver’s license or a state ID with a photo, and car info that is required by state law in order to drive onto post.
This swap will be open to 20 stampers.. There is a $20 non-refundable charge per stamper to cover the Community Center, lunch, dinner, snacks, prizes etc. Please fill out the attached form and mail in your $20 fee to reserve your space by October 25, 2008. No children under 18 years of age please.
All cards are to be full cards with a winter/holiday theme. Please bring enough supplies for everyone to make your card including all cardstock, stamps, inks, embellishments, tools, etc. Please also bring your own basic stamping kit, which should include your adhesive and scissors to use on all the projects we make. Please make sure all of your supplies (stamps, ink pads, scissors, punches, etc.) are labeled with your name, so we all go home with the stuff we brought. We'd like each stamper to have a sample and typed instructions in their box telling how to make their card. Everyone should have their swaps in baggies or envelopes containing everything each stamper needs to do your card. This helps make the swap go smoothly.
There are no vendor restrictions on cards or projects. However please use quality card stock like SU!
We will have a door prize drawing for all who want to participate in it, please bring something altered or stamped along with a $5 value of product. It can contain partial packages as long as the value is at least $5. Please make your swaps look pretty so whoever receives it will be surprised!
There will also be small door prizes given throughout the day with a large door prize drawing at the end of the swap. All stampers will walk away with a door prize!
For all of you that would be willing to donate cards, we will be collecting them to give to the Stamp for a Cause scs program. It all depends on how many we get.
We will also have a silent auction for whoever would like to clean out stamping/scrapping items they no longer want. Just let me know if you will be bring items for the auction so we can have space allocated for your items.
So for a recap here is, what you should bring:
-shoebox swap in a winter/holiday theme for 20 stampers
-door prize drawing (if you are wanting to participate in it) an altered item and $5 value of product with it.
-any cards that you would like to donate to the Fisher House or Stamp for a Cause.
-any silent auction items you are wanting to get rid off.
So start posting your RSVP’s. Please feel free to post or pm any questions you may have.
Amanda and I are looking forward to Nov and seeing you all again.
Once I receive your form and payment, I will mark you paid.
This will be great! I love the holidays so it will be fun to see what everyone comes up with. Every single card yesterday was awesome! I laid everything out on the table last night and couldn't believe I did all of those in one day. And learned a few things from my first swap....like paying attention to detail! LOL!! Hope all of the ladies sign up for this one, and bring a few friends.
I am so looking forward to this one, yesterday was so much fun, you two are awesome hostesses! My friend Mary wants to come now after she saw all the pictures from yesterday, she now realizes how much fun she's been missing! I'm sure she'll be signing up soon!

Tracy, when Krys and I told Georgann how much fun we had I think she was a little jealous she didn't go! I can't wait to catch up with her so she can be envious of the cards and projects!

I can tell you're not from around here by you saying 'the' 100.
I'm off Mountain Road just behind Blockbuster (across from Pizza Hut), about 1/2 mile or so from the Mountain Road/Hog Neck Road intersection.
all you PA ladies are welcome to spend the night if you feel it would be too much of a hassle getting back. I have a spare bedroom plus at least one or two air mattresses.... and you won't have to pack any jammies!

oh and ya'll should be extremely grateful Squidward isn't invited( unless at the end to eat any leftovers..he's already asked me to make Crack!.. and clean up).. he sleeps Commando.....Man has the body temperature of the sun. It's sick. I freeze 10 months out of the year and he'd rather sleep on top of the covers with window wide open.
and I offer to help with food making so ya'll don't have to do it all yourselves.
Not really, no.. we were happy to have a bar within staggering distance of home.. until we found out it's literally a dive.. so now we make do with Rocky Run or Du Claws. if we drink too much we can just take a few laps around the respective mall until he is safe to drive...

I've lived in this area for nearly 23 years and never been to Brass Rail...I'm not a bar-type of girl...I get woosy with one wine cooler! Both Rocky Run and DuClaws have the best Cuban sandwiches!
