I've chuckled about this for a long time and now it's time to share. There is a Michael's about 4 blocks from my work but I don't go there often because it's kind of shabby and rarely has anything new. I was there yesterday and checked the $1 stamp bin. They are still carrying the "Class of '05" stamp! That's 3 years old. Apparently no staff member ever checks the bin. So if you are in desperate need of a 3 year old stamp, I know where you can get one!
Well I guess if you are a bit slow in making your scrapbook for a child who graduated in 2005 you will be grateful  and I bet they really weren't that cheap! I do also wonder when you see places selling old diaries and calendars?

Our Michael's still has a good supply of class of "05 stamps as well. Interestingly, I never saw the other "class of xx" stamps. I have actually gathered up (at least ten) and brought them to the front. "These stamps need to be clearanced" and next time, there they are, getting in my way. Maybe I will start spreading them around the store..
Apparently somebody at corporate had a child graduating in '05. They should be graduating college this year so will we get some new "class of '09" stamps?

This thread cracks me up. My Michaels has those '05 stamps, too. I don't think they would sell now, even on clearance! Same with the old calendars, unless you just wanted them so you could frame the pictures.

I feel like doing that myself. I'm sick of seeing that one in the bins. Enough already.

OK, How bout if we each find all we can (or stop at ten) and restock/hide them around the store AND email corporate notifying them that their store has been secret shopped and there are hidden out of date items secreted in various departments if they would like to notify the managers of the stores in NY, CT, NJ, NV, FL, OK, OH, AL, and IL (so far)
One of our Michaels had those same stamps and I chuckled when I saw them - but they were in a clearance bin for .25 cents! Along with a bunch of others ones that really old (and some used, probably from their stamp/craft classes that they hold). So if you don't mind just bringing them home and giving them a little scrub, it can be quite a bargain!)
I've seen old, outdated calendars and notepads as well but at the Dollar Store ~ but those are $1 not a quarter It's almost fun to buy it just because it is .25c - what can you buy for a quarter anymore, rofl!
We have them here in Georgia also. I see them all the time and wonder when the heck they are going to get rid of them. Sounds like never!
