What stamp companies have the best angel policies?
I have been looking at new stamp companies and it takes a while finding them and then finding their angel policy. It would be much easier visiting stamp companies that have a good angel policy. I only like to buy from companies with a nice policy.
Great policies, no restriction:
Heidi Swapp
Making Memories
Gina K
Unity
Hampton Arts (studio G)
Tim Holtz
SU is ok, just needs stamp on back
And I know CTMH have a strict one which is why I do not buy from them
Any one know of any other stamp companies with good policies, I would love some new stamps by new companies!!
Thanks

The Angel Company has a very good Angel Policy.
You may sell what you Handstamp anywhere. It has to be handstamped.

Cornish Heritage Farms - just give image credit on any hand stamped items you're selling.
Crafty Secrets - again, no mechanical reproduction and give image credit (they'll give you a stamp for free to do this if you ask them for it).

Posh Impressions has a very generous angel policy and I think Hero Arts does, too.

no mechanically or electronically produced images.. I think this is true for most Angel companies.
Most stamp companies outline their policy in their "about us" portion of their website.
There are tons of angel companies out there! When I order from them or buy from the source, I always tell them how much I appreciate them allowing me to make a little change with their images and that I think twice before buying any stamps that do not allow it.

DRS Designs, www.drsdesigns.com is angel company with the standard policy - making hand made items to sell, no permission, just some recognition. Not too much to ask!!

Hambo Stamps' angel policy is HERE.
Pretty much anything goes as long as the items are hand-stamped and not mechanically reproduced.

Here's inque boutique's policy:
What is Inque Boutique's Angel Policy?
We do allow crafters who individually hand make finished items for resale to use our designs as long as the quantity manufactured or sold of any given design is handmade and does not exceed 200 pieces. Please credit 'Inque Boutique' somewhere on each creation. We do not allow our designs to be used in any type of mass manufacturing process, whether this be via mechanical, photographic or handmade means.

Angel Policies are the terms/conditions released by each company that outlines how one can use their creations (stamps, etc); some can prohibit to only personal use or have other stipulations if one wants to sell their handmade creations using their products.
You can usually just Google (name of company) Angel Policy and their particular terms should be available.
Hope that helps!

Basically its a companys copyright. You need to know it if you are planning on selling your items stamped with their products etc.
Some are open where they say you can do what you like! Others say you have to have their name on the back of the card such as SU, and there are others that says things like no selling on the internet, only 20 of each design etc and there are some that say NO!!
Hope this helps a little!!

The CTMH Angel Policy was just changed yesterday and it's not been updated online yet.
If you go to the CTMH Bulletin Board there is a post of the updated policy from Consultant Services.

Oh no this is not good for my wallet!! Can you now also use other products on your cards? I know one thing that bugged me was the whole card being CTMH! Now if only Provo Craft would change their policy!

Technique Tuesday has a nice angel policy, allowing hand stamped items to be sold. Their website FAQ has some more info on it.

Its equally important, I think, to know which ones do not allow sale of items made with them. Am I correct in understanding that Whippersnappers is one, as well as Stampavie. Any others? I do try to sell my cards to pay for the addiction and I don't want to do the wrong thing.

I don't think anyone mentioned Penny Black, they just ask you put their name on the back of the card.

These are some stamp companies that do not allow you to sell items with their images... or make you jump through hoops to do it.. (such as, write for permission for each stamp used and write their info somewhere on the card.) It's too bad, I love some of the images these companies have.
DO NOT USE THESE IF YOU PLAN TO SELL YOUR CARDS:
Penny Black
Stamps by Judith
Hero Arts (you have to write for their permission)
Inkadinkadoo (you have to write for their permission)

How do you all do the "give credit" thing on the back of the cards? For stampinup there is a stamp...but what about some of the other companies?? Do you like write it on the back of the card by hand?? I'm just getting into selling my cards.
Thanks for all the great info!
By the way....did you all know about the new Elzybells on-line store? CUTE STUFF!! This isn't the A Muse version...it's the bigger ones! www.elzybells.co.uk
