I'm sorry that you guys are experienceing this. I have experienced this as well on numerous occasions.
I was reading this past weekend that for most "As seen on TV" items-- that these companies create infomercials before they even have an adequate amount of stock (if any stock at all)! The even named a major company (i forget the name righ now) who made several tv commercials without even having anything manufactured. So they way it goes is:

Make the commercial--get the sale--then manufacture the product--

After reading that it became clear as to why they take so darn long!!
