Emerging Color

Try this little twist on Embossing Resist for a simple WOW.

Supplies

  • Dye ink (lighter and darker colored)

  • Versamarkā„¢

  • Solid stamps

  • Brayer

  • Clear embossing powder

  • Heat tool

  • Paper towel

Step-by-Step

  1. Step 1

    Stamp smaller solid stamps in lighter colors all over cardstock. Flower images were used here, but shapes work well, too.

    Let dry.

  2. Step 2

    Ink main image with Versamark™ and stamp over smaller images.

  3. Step 3

    Pour clear embossing powder over Versamarked image and tap off excess powder. .

  4. Step 4

    Use heat tool to melt the embossing powder. Let cool.

  5. Step 5

    Ink your brayer with a darker dye ink and apply ink to entire cardstock piece.

  6. Step 6

    Continue to brayer, adding more color to cardstock until satisfied. Let dry.

  7. Step 7

    Take a paper towel and wipe ink off of embossed

  8. Step 8

    Take a more detailed stamp and an even darker dye ink color and stamp over cardstock. Here, the swirl stamp from the stamp set "Priceless" was used. A large background stamp or wheel would work as well.

  9. Step 9

    Wipe any excess ink off of embossed flower again.

  10. Step 10

    Finish your card.
