Yvette Ashe - Yvette
Ashland, KY
Hello everyone! Can you believe it's me? I am so thrilled to be here! When I got Julie's PM I immediately burst into tears. I just could NOT believe it. I picked up the phone to call my husband at work, but I was so choked up with emotion that I couldn't speak. All he could hear on the other end of the line was me crying. "What's wrong?" He asked in a whisper because he was in the middle of a conference call. Still, I couldn't speak; just more crying. "Is it the kids? Are the kids okay?" Still crying. "Is it the dog? Did the dog get run over?" At this point I managed to get out a strangled, "Guess what . . . ?" More crying. Bless my husband's heart; he is so patient when I get emotional! LOL! "What's wrong?!" He really was beginning to sound upset so I managed to squeeze the words from my throat, "Guess who's going to be the next Dirty Girl? Waaaah!!!" Later he would tell me that I didn't get this excited when he asked me to marry him!

My name is Yvette Ashe (Yvette here on Splitcoast). I have been married to my very patient and loving husband, Bryan, for 17 years. We have two children; a son, age 11 and a daughter, age 5. I am originally from North Dakota and currently live in Ashland, Kentucky. My degree is actually in Biology, but I've worked as a veterinary technician, a librarian, and a legal secretary over the course of several years. For the last six years I have been a stay-at-home-mom which, I must say, is the toughest job I've ever had!

I have enjoyed doing crafts since I was a little girl. My mom taught me to sew when I was a teenager and quilting eventually became my passion. Then, one fine day in 2001, I discovered this little thing called rubberstamping and my life literally has not been the same since! I had never heard of Stampin' Up! before, but, once I had a catalog in my hands, I never looked back! I became a demonstrator in November 2002. I discovered Splitcoast in the fall of 2003 when it was very small and relatively unknown. However, I knew that I had found something very special and signed on as a member in January of 2004. I love this place! To actually be a part of the Design Team for this amazing site is a tremendous honor and a dream come true for me!

Before I close, I want to say THANK YOU to all of you who have been so supportive of me and believed in me! My very first uploads in the DD Gallery are dedicated to YOU!
