Wanda Cullen - cullenwr
Stuarts Draft, VA
Hello dear friends! I'm Wanda Cullen, known on Splitcoaststampers as cullenwr. Not a very creative user name, but little did I imagine when I joined SCS in 2008 that I would one day be in the Dirty Dozen! I'm still in the clouds ever since Lydia popped the question!
I grew up in a small town in northeastern Ohio and got my BS degree in nursing in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley of VA. My husband made it clear he considered this "the promised land" and he wasn't about to leave, so VA was my new home and I really do love this state! I work full-time in a vocationally oriented rehabilitation center - working with clients who have physical and/or mental disabilities. Even after 35 years with the same employer, I still find my job rewarding! We have three grown children...2 boys and a girl. All are in their 20's, so we are pretty much "empty-nesters".
My start in paper crafting was a Stampin' Up party in 1997...then came a monthly stamp club, and as they say...the rest is history! Splitcoaststampers was really the biggest catalyst for my creativity. I started doing challenges and "met" so many of you online friends who inspired me and enabled me! It's just the ultimate honor to be here - THANK YOU LYDIA AND THE SCS TEAM! I hope to be an inspiration to others as so many of you have been to me!
I'll leave you with some random personal trivia: I love puns! (thus my blog name, Cullen-ary Creations)...I play piano...College football, basketball and Nascar (go Jeff!) are my fave sports...My faith in God is what gives me hope...I have dabbled in cross-stitching, calligraphy, flower arranging, interior decorating - among other crafty endeavors. I am not Edward's mom, but I do drive like a Cullen!
