Wow! What can I say other that I'm still trying to recover from the shock of being asked to be on this fabulously talented Dirty Dozen team! Not only am I thrilled but also so very honored to be asked and overwhelmed at the same time. I've been around Splitcoaststampers for about 8 years now, but only in the last 2 years have I been brave enough to share my work with everyone. I have always been amazed and inspired by the work done by the Dirty Dozen team and I hope to live up to their standards while I'm here! When Jenn Balcer contacted me, my first thought was "Oh No, what did I do wrong on SCS?" so I was not expecting the question she posed to me--I of course somehow managed to stammer out that I would LOVE to be on the team and then the panic set in, lol! Oh no, what will I make, will I be good enough, can I do this? I had to give myself lots of pep talks over the past month, but I'm delighted to join in on the fun with these talented ladies!

I live in Northern Virginia with my (very supportive & loving) husband of 15 years, my daughter who will be 14 soon (ack--teenagers), my son who who be 12 in February and my 7 furbabies. Yes, I have 2 dogs and 5 rescue cats (and yes I COULD be that crazy cat lady if hubby didn't keep me in line, lol) that are my other children and keep me company during the day while I work! My full time job is working for many awesome craft companies, design teams, papercrafting my heart out and taking care of my family and I ENJOY every minute of it!! I also love the friends that I have made around the world who all share my love of papercrafting--it's the best feeling in the world to share this art with others. Papercrafters are some of the best people around, dontcha' think?

I started stamping 8 years ago when a friend introduced me to Stampin' Up and I was instantly hooked and was a demonstrator for quite awhile. I have a BS in Computer Science and an Associates degree in Fine Arts that I used for awhile but then I got married and had kids and yada yada yada--taking care of young ones at home kept me super busy but I longed for a creative outlet. So I started out with stamping and then scrapbooking and about 3 years ago I took up papercrafting and cardmaking and that's what I what I truly enjoy doing now. I also teach Copic classes in my home and I enjoy teaching so much (who knew) and helping people discover the joy of coloring with Copics because it is such a passion of mine (and fun to boot)!

I hope in some way my art inspires you along the way and maybe inspires you to try something new and give it a go! My motto that I live by everyday is "We only get one life, one chance to live that life, so why not live it fabulously!" Do something you love, enjoy those that you love and your life will be be filled with JOY! (and hey, if it involves glitter, glue and paper--even better)!
