Sue Keller - jsbrooketrout
Bucks County, PA
Hi!!! It's me... Sue Keller, perhaps better known as jsbrooketrout... and I got to jump in the DIRT PILE! I still can't believe that I, a farm girl from PA, was invited to get "dirty" with all these fabulously talented gals!

When I got the PM from Julie, I almost fell out of my chair. I truly just stared at the screen for a while before I opened it... "could it be?" What a fun surprise after getting home from a vacation!! Then I was a nervous wreck... what a challenge... was I up for it? It really only took a minute or two for me to decide that "YES" I was up for it! I LOVE a challenge! This kind anyway.

I am born and raised in beautiful Bucks County, PA. I still live here with my best friend and husband and our almost 6 year old daughter. We also share our home with a HUGE tabby cat (rescue) named Vince. We are lucky that he allows us to live here with him in "his" house, LOL! We have a very old farmhouse that we seem to always be working on... someday we may actually get finished. One can always dream, right?
We enjoy all things outdoors... the cabin in upstate PA or the beach at Ocean City, NJ. We love to fish (especially fly-fishing) and go out on our boat. My husband and I both enjoy cooking and eating good food and sampling good wines. We love music and go often to a small theater we are members of in our town... lots of great shows! We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary this month! Where did the time go?

Before I became a Stay Home Mom, I was a hairstylist for 15 years. I guess that qualifies as a "creative" job, but honestly, I never had a creative bone in my body. I have always admired "crafty" people and things and all types of art, but had never really done anything crafty until I had my daughter. I started scrapbooking after attending a scrapbook workshop about a year after my daughter was born. I went to a few of those "paint your own pottery" classes with my sister and really enjoyed that. Then my great friend (and now upline) invited me to a Stampin' Up workshop she was hosting. $100 dollars or so later, I was addicted!! This same friend introduced me to Splitcoaststampers in September 2004, shortly after she joined as a demo. I was amazed at all the resources and talent I had right at my fingertips!! I signed up as a Demo (mostly hobby) about a year ago. The beginning of this year I started playing all the great daily challenges. I credit both these and the fabulous talent on this site and in this gallery for everything I learned.

It is such an honor to have been chosen to be a part of this team. This site has been such a great resource for creating, meeting and making new friends and just losing myself in, for a little break from the everyday grind. I hope that I can inspire as much as others have inspired me!!
