Sandi MacIver - sandimac
Portland, OR
Wow – Me – Really? Lydia, are you sure? LOL after that phone call, I walked around in a daze, for about 10 minutes, then I think EVERYONE in Portland heard me SQUEAL….oh my gosh – an invite to the “DIRT PILE”, been on my bucket list for years, never thought it was possible – SO – made my day.
A bit about me, I was born and raised in British Columbia, Canada, and crossed the border 10 years ago. I’m lucky enough to be married to my best friend Ian and our days are filled with dog hair and love from our two corgis Oscar the Terrible and Lil Miss Lucy who provide endless entertainment. Ian and I also share a love of photography, gardening, home renovations and hockey!
I have been stamping for over 20 years, started with one stamp and some gold embossing powder, thought I would try making my own Christmas cards. I used my Black & Decker Heat and Strip Gun to emboss – LOL it was before embossing tools had been invented (yep, I’m that old).
My wonderful husband helped me convert our garage into my Stamping Studio (I have more than one stamp now – LOL I’m sure many of you can relate), where I teach classes and workshops, but mostly, I just make a creative mess on every table! My style – is everything but my love is Vintage, and I absolutely love to play with ink and try new techniques. I’m the gal with the inky fingers in my videos, LOL. – Ink goes so well with nail polish don’t you agree?
I am a retired Banker and for the past 5 years my full time job has been as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator – best job ever. I share what I love on my blog and here on Splitcoaststampers in my gallery, you can find me under “sandimac”. I have had the pleasure of being published in a few places online and in print and earned a few rewards and incentive trips from Stampin’ Up! and now I’m looking forward to this amazing adventure as a Dirty Girl!..
Thank you so much Lydia and the SCS family for the warm welcome, I am beyond thrilled to be invited to the Dirt PILE and part of such a supportive, encouraging and sharing group. Bring on the Dirtiness!
