Kelly Lunceford - Atomicbutterfly
Hello! I am so excited to be here! I was in complete and total shock when I received the PM from Julie. First of all, I would like to say thank you to Julie for this awesome opportunity.
My name is Kelly Lunceford - otherwise known on SCS as Atomicbutterfly. I am 31 years old. I have been married to the love of my life for 9 years this June. We have 2 beautiful children - ages 7 and 3. I have truly been blessed!
I have been creating with paper and any other medium I could get my hands on for as long as I can remember. I was fortunate to be raised in a home where creativity was encouraged and embraced. I would like to take the opportunity to thank my wonderful mom, who has always been there to support and encourage my creative endeavors. As a child I would make cards for my family and grandparents. I remember visiting my Grandma and seeing the handmade cards I had made on top of her T.V. It was at a young age that I knew the joy and happiness that a handmade card or gift could bring.
I attended the University of Utah, pursuing a degree in art, but married before finishing (kicking myself). It was there that I gained a deeper education of design and was able to create in a variety of mediums. I am very grateful for those experiences. I started stamping right out of high school. I used to heat emboss over the burners of the stove, but, never found the "burnt coil look" to be very appealing! I am amazed at how much this industry has evolved through the years. I love sewing, interior design, and decorating.
I attended my first SU! Workshop in 2000 and immediately fell in love. I joined SU! in May of 2004 and have loved every minute of it!!! I have taught scrapbooking and cardmaking classes at the LSS. I have been blessed to work with an amazing publisher who has just released the 3rd idea book in which my work has been featured. I also submit my work regularly to a variety of publications.
I am so grateful to be a part of the Dirty Dozen Design Team. I have been inspired by so many on SCS and I am hoping that through this opportunity I will be able to give a little back. I have met so many wonderful, kind people through SCS and I want to thank each of you for your support! I am so excited to be here!
