Irene Rhodes - Dandi93
Myakka City
I’m Irene Rhodes and I live in SW Florida. I have a wonderful husband that supports my paper crafting addiction and encourages me every day. Together we have 3 boys. They are 34, 32 and 25. The two oldest boys have given us 5 wonderful grandchildren. For the last 21 years I’ve been a stay at home mom. It is the most rewarding job I could ever have. I turn 50 this year, and what a fabulous way to celebrate it by becoming a Dirty Girl.

I started crafting very young. As a child I loved to draw. I used to enter all of the art contests in the back of magazines. In technical school I took up commercial art and drafting. I loved doing both. I may not have followed the art career, but being a wife to an awesome husband has many rewards. I get to do what I love almost every day. I’ve done quilting, shrinky dinks, painted ceramics, wire, clay, and many other general crafts. Spending time with my family is my favorite thing to do. I love building things, bowling, fishing, nature walking, and amusement park hopping.

I started stamping in 2009. A friend told me about Splitcoast Stampers and I was hooked. I saw a blog with the little UPS truck and they were waiting for the template to come out. Instead of waiting for the template, I grabbed my Scor-Pal and went to work. It was my very first upload. I love “make it work” moments.

There is so much talent here on SCS. I have made many friends that inspire me every day. Even though I feel I am a CAS kind of girl, (not always simple though) I love making 3-d items as well. I also love to organize. I can’t function without it.

It is an honor to be part of this amazing group of designers.
