Serious!? Really?! Lil’ ol’ me, a Dirty Girl?! Oh Lydia, You are so Sneaky, and I love you for it!… Are there actually words that can accurately express how I have felt since being asked to join the Dirty Dozen? Why yes! I think a dream come true, would sum it up perfectly. I am so honored to become a part of such a talented, elite, and amazing group of stampers. Thank you!

Hi everyone, I am Heather Klump, aka tankgrl. When I first joined SCS in 2006, I asked my husband to help me with a profile name that was “me”. He instantly said “tankgrl.” He was referring to my short time in the U.S. Army as a heavy equipment operator, and I liked it. The name and the job. But I digress.

I am a Midwest girl, born and raised on the North side of Chicago. Growing up, I was completely surrounded by some kind of crafty goodness. My Father, by trade was an antique restorer, and my Mom an avid sewer and crafter. Though I didn’t know it then, both were very instrumental in giving me an appreciation for creating something with my own two hands. Whether it was cooking, baking, gardening, or making a house a home, I am constantly reminded of their influence. Hi Mom!

Like many of us, my creative obsession with stamping and paper crafting began with a Stampin’ Up! Home party. (Julie, you know who you are, I Love you!) It showed me a world that I didn’t know existed, and yet, can no longer live without. A few years passed by with her gently prodding me to become a demo. I finally made the leap, and was introduced to the incredible community and inspiration of SCS. I was and still am in awe of all the amazing artists here, and their willingness to share of themselves so freely. Thank you all. smile Now my days of being a SAHM of two boys, ages 11 and 12, are filled with checking and hopefully playing along in the daily challenges in the forum, as well as accepting the challenges of raising those boys. Need I say more?

Thanks to my husband Tim, I am also a trained Locksmith?! Before my boys were born we worked alongside each other and all was right in my world. He is my rock, and my best friend. He has also blessed me to be able to stay at home with my boys AND share my love of paper crafting with whomever wants to take a peek at my gallery or blog.

So.. that is me in a nutshell. I am so excited to finally be able to share this with you, and am still in disbelief that I am a Dirty Girl. It really is a dream come true! I look forward to sharing my “Dirty creations” with you. Much Love!
