Diane Zechman - cookiestamper
What a shock it was getting a message from JulieHRR to join the DDD team! I am in awe of the talent here. But it didn't take me long to say yes. I think I was afraid they would change their mind!
My name is Diane Zechman, Cookiestamper on SCS. I live in northeastern Pennsylvania, only a few hours from where I grew up. And I am blessed with a wonderful husband and 2 daughters. Before we started a family I was a nurse and then a SAHM. Now I work part-time as an aide in a Special Ed. classroom. My extra "me" time is spent stamping, reading, and logging onto SCS. Occasionally I enjoy watching movies, especially romantic comedies. I have been involved in a lot of church activities over the years and was PTO President when my kids were younger. I have always enjoyed some type of crafting and have done a little sewing but I don't think I've enjoyed any other craft as much as I've enjoyed stamping.
My first experience stamping was in 1986. I purchased a heat tool, some gold EP, an embossing pad and a few stamps. I have to admit that I was less than thrilled with my results. I had a gold embossed image in the center of a cardfront. Now what? I didn't know how to make it look nice so the supplies got shoved in a shoebox for a few years. Then in 2000 a friend of mine invited me to a Stampin' Up! workshop and like many others, I was hooked! It snowballed from there and my stamping supplies grew. Techniques, embellishments, and designs, oh my! Honey, I need my own room!
Stamping must be in my blood somewhere because sometime after I put away that first box of supplies I started collecting cookie stamps (hence my username). I have some on display in my kitchen and many more boxed up...shhhhh. My collection is now collecting dust but I still love them. And I will always love cookies...especially the chocolate chip kind!
I am so honored to be a part of the DDDT! I hope I can challenge myself to make a few things that you all will enjoy! Many thanks to the Noltas for giving us a "home" to play in and make new friends! I am blessed to have SCS in my life.
