Wow where do I begin? April 22, 2006 I found this amazing site. Almost 4 years ago today I became a member and little did I know what a huge impact it would have on my life. It is a huge honor to be here in the Dirty Dozen Gallery. Those that have gone before me have influenced and inspired so many.

A little bit about me. I grew up in Northern Illinois on a family farm. My mom and aunt were always crafty, so they planted that seed long ago. I am the oldest of eight. I have a degree in accounting, but took time off to raise our family. To say the least April 15th (tax day and reveal day) was stressful this year. I have a wonderfully supportive husband and five kids. Four girls and a boy. One daughter is married, three in college and my son is in third grade.

Two years ago we moved from my lifelong hometown to the beautiful state of North Carolina. Being separate from our older children, family and friends was tough. That is when my stamping became my escape time. I have been stamping for about four years, but my first upload two years ago was in the challenge gallery. I was nervous about that first one. What I found there still warms my heart. So many sweet friends that make comments on my cards still today.

Thank you so much for this opportunity and for giving me six great months to be in this gallery. I wanted to close with one of my favorite quotes:

Never underestimate your worth by comparing yourself to anyone else. Don't set your goals by what others believe is important. Only you can determine what your destiny will be. Keep the things most important to you close at heart. For without those things life is meaningless.
