Darleen Adamo - darleenstamps
Mays Landing, NJ
Hello everyone, my name is Darleen Adamo and I think I may still be in shock. I am so honored to have been invited to join this incredibly fabulous group of stamping artists! Thinking back to the day that Lydia PM'd me, I remember being extremely exhausted from a crazy day at work. The PM was a little vague, so the first thing I thought was that I must have done something wrong (after all, that's how my day was going anyway) But, boy oh boy, did I ever get the surprise of my stamping life - Lydia was asking me to join the Dirt Pile! OMG, I can't believe I'm a Dirty Girl!

A little about myself. I live in Mays Landing, NJ and I've been married to my DH, Doug for twenty years this November (I still can't believe it). I have a fifteen year old daughter and a twelve year old son and I work full time in the purchasing department for the South Jersey Transportation Authority.

I've always been an outdoorsy, artsy, crafty kind of person. As a kid growing up in rural South Jersey, I always wanted a horse, but had to settle for drawing them instead - I guess drawing was my first crafting endeavor. Since then, (and much to my hubby's dismay) I think I've tried almost every kind of craft: beading, floral arranging, t-shirt painting, embroidery and macramé to name a few - but nothing ever really stuck. That was until my dear friend, Dennis Jefferson (deeinnj), introduced me Gail Murray at a Stampin Up! demonstration. I had finally found my niche.

That was over ten years ago, and my love of stamping and papercrafting seems to grow each day as I peruse the galleries here on SCS. I've been a member of the SCS family since December of 2003 and the overall talent on this website never ceases to amaze me - it's so incredibly inspiring. My hope is that I too, can inspire others as the DD has inspired me since way back when...

Thanks again Lydia, I am so thrilled to be part of this wonderful group and I'm looking forward to lots of fun and creativity in the months ahead!
