Wow, it is so amazing to be asked by Lydia to join the Dirty Girls! I thought I’d done something wrong when Lydia emailed me, so it was a relief to know I wasn’t in trouble! I’m excited to be here but terrified too! Those who came before me are a hard act to follow.

I live in sunny Queensland, Australia, with my wonderful husband who thinks my cards are the BEST – I love that man! Keeping the books for my husband’s business keeps me quite busy at times. Since our children have grown & flown, I have my own craft room - a higgledy piggledy collection of shelves & drawers, and sadly a mess most of the time, as I finish one project & go straight to the next, hence my user name! I try to tidy it if my stamping friends are coming over. Then I find all the things I’d lost recently smile

I’ve always liked crafty things, especially sketching and briefly, painting. Always in trouble in high school for spending too much time on assignment title pages! Imagined dream job: designing magazine covers. Then I grew up & got a regular job as a receptionist/book keeper.

Ten years ago I saw rubber stamps demonstrated in a store and purchased my first stamp that day (which I still have & love). I used my growing collection in scrapbooking initially, but when I started making cards a few years later, I was totally hooked. I love giving a little piece of ‘art’ to someone, a little piece of me. Discovering Splitcoaststampers surfing the net 2 years ago was great, it helped me explore new ideas & grow, as I’ve never been to lessons & just sort of learned along the way. Here, I can see the marvellous creations of others, including all the latest papers, stamps & dies uploaded in your designs - it often sends me off shopping!

Thanks for having me in the Dirty Dozen, I hope I live up to the wonderful talent of those who came before me & maybe inspire someone!
