Instead of creating my own winter background with sponging and masking, I created it with snowy patterned paper and a torn white cs snow bank. I added a die cut evergreen tree instead of a deciduous tree like Kittie's - I cut once from green and once from white cs and glued them together to have a thin line of white on the branch tops. I changed Kittie's two deer to one deer, but I did copy her method of sponging the die cut deer with ink to give it more life.

You did a great job creating a snowy day - The flakes are large but there is still a feeling of serenity here.
We don't get snow here often but when it does, we can expect quarter to half dollar sized flakes that float gently to the ground.
